Special Needs Religious Education

St. Joseph/St. Thomas offers Special Needs Religious Education on Wednesday afternoons from 4 - 5 p.m., for our school age children. The program runs from October through May in Monsignor Finn Hall. The program offers sacramental preparation for Penance, Communion, and Confirmation. Students are included in the yearly parish sacramental celebrations.

During each class session time is spent on prayer, religious instruction and sharing a snack. If you have any questions, please contact the CCD office at 718-984-1156.  

  
Special Needs Masses

St. Joseph/St. Thomas is happy to extend an invitation to all special needs families to join us in the celebration of Masses for All of God's Special People. Masses are geared to the special needs person. All are included and can feel comfortable moving around as needed. Low-Gluten Altar Breads are available. Masses are at St. Thomas the Apostle Church which is handicapped accessible.

The Special Needs Mass schedule is:

March 28, 2010 2:30 p.m. Palm Sunday

May 16, 2010 2:30 p.m. Marian

Starting in September 2010 there will be a Special Needs Mss on the 2nd Sunday of each month, at 2:30 p.m.
